Sophie lives in West Sussex with her family. She has toyed with both the short story and flash fiction form, and has been shortlisted in national competitions for these, but her main love is novel writing. By day, she is an English teacher and for the rest of the time she is studying for her master’s degree in Crime Writing at the University of Cambridge.

Her first novel, Travel by Night was published by Darkstroke Books in 2021. Her second book, Bird Spotting in a Small Town, will be published by Verve Books in February 2024.
