Mandy has recently been awarded her MA in Creative Writing (Crime Fiction) at the University of East Anglia.

Born and raised in the Staffordshire Moorlands, Mandy studied languages at university and spent a year in Munich where she refined her German-speaking and Stein-clinking skills.

Mandy’s love of writing led to a day-job in marketing communications and a night-job in novel writing. Her novel, THE SPURNED, was shortlisted in the Gransnet/HQ novel competition, while UXORIOUS, her crime fiction novel set in 1874, was longlisted in the HWA/Sharpe Books Unpublished Novel Award. She has also been longlisted in the Orange Pathé screenwriting competition and was a winner of a Radio 5 Live monologue competition.

JUST ANOTHER LIAR (formerly known as THE SPURNED) was published by Avon in January 2022 and THE YOUNGER WOMAN in February 2023.
