Jessica Norrie was born in London and studied French Literature and Education at the Universities of Sussex and Sheffield. She has taught English, French and Spanish in France and the UK to students in settings ranging from kindergarten to university.
When her children were small, she worked as a freelance translator. She has also published occasional journalism and a French textbook, and blogs at https://jessicanorrie.wordpress.com
Jessica sings soprano with Hackney Singers and wherever else she gets the chance, and has never given up trying to master the piano.
She left teaching in 2016 to concentrate on writing. The Infinity Pool is her first novel, drawing on many years of travel and encounters, and her second novel The Magic Carpet was published in ebook in 2019.
Jessica’s third novel The Quiet Women, is currently on submission with publishers.
