Emery Davies
Emery Davies has been a singer, a waitress, a big band tour manager, a concert arranger, a conference organiser, a researcher and a mentor. But mostly, she has been a writer: of scripts and speeches, features and sales copy, blogs and tweets – and everything in between.
A devourer of books, crime has been her passion ever since, aged twelve, she discovered The ABC Murders on her parents’ bookshelf.
Emery has always been fascinated by what makes people tick: how what happened to them in the past makes them who they are today, and how trauma is passed down through the generations. It’s a theme she explores in her first novel, Lovely Blur.
Emery has a degree in Performing Arts, an MSc in Management and an MPhil in Writing. She lives in Hertfordshire with her partner, dog and four cats.
