Conor Glynn is a twenty-nine-year-old nurse, currently working in Saudi Arabia. He grew up in Laois in the midlands of Ireland. Having both parents in the nursing profession, Conor decided to follow in their footsteps, and ended up working in general nursing, and mostly in A&E.
Having worked in the Middle East for a few years in his mid-twenties, Conor returned to Ireland, eventually returning to his old A&E department in Laois when the arrival of Covid-19 curtailed many other activities, until the opportunity to work in Saudi Arabia came up in January 2021.
Conor has always enjoyed hearing and telling other people’s stories – and hospitals are another world – and although nursing as a profession is hard and can at time be quite grim, it can give privileged access into other people’s lives and worlds.
