Claire Gallagher lives near Birmingham with her husband and two sons. She has a degree in Psychology and a PGCE in Primary Education. Upon completing her studies, she taught at an international school in Spain for two years before returning to teach in the West Midlands.

In 2022, Claire was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and her lifelong passion for creative writing became a lifeline. That year, she completed her first writing course and didn’t look back.

Claire’s experience of being hospitalised on two psychiatric wards inspired her to write her first novel, which will soon be on submission to publishers.
