
Adrian Mourby
Adrian Mourby was an award-winning BBC drama producer before turning to fulltime writing. He has written a number of plays broadcast on Radio 4 and also produced opera in Britain and Europe. His travel journalism and opera journalism have also won international awards.
He is currently Contributing Editor at Famous Hotels, Britain’s Finest Hotels and Opera Now Magazine. His travel books include Rooms of One’s Own (Icon), Rooms with a View (Icon) and the AA Guides to Venice and Belgium.
Adrian’s novels include We Think The World of Him (Hodder) The Four of Us (Hodder) and Wishdaughter (Seren). Whatever Happened To…? a book of humour based on Adrian’s Sony-award winning Radio 4 series was published by Souvenir Press.
Adrian has written for most British broadsheets and in the past was a regular contributor to The Independent , Guardian and Times Educational Supplement. He is currently a regular contributor to the Sunday Times Travel Magazine and writes for opera companies around the world including Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Wienerstaatsoper and English National Opera. Adrian also leads opera tours to Italy.
He is currently working on a five novel sequence that covers the first ten years of the 21st century.
